Funeral services for Rev. Francis Charles Apple “As’a Kuwapi,” age 81, will be Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Little Wound School in Kyle, SD with Reverend Lyle Noisy Hawk, Reverend Robert Two Bulls, Father Bill Weiner and Bishop Stephen Strawn officiating.
Traditional Lakota Service will be provided by Mr. George Apple and Mr. Virgil Kills Straight.
A one-night wake service will be Friday, June 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Little Wound School in Kyle, SD.
Burial will be at St. Stephen’s CatholicCemetery in Kyle, SD.
Rev. Francis passed away June 9, 2013, in Hot Springs, SD. He was an Army Veteran.

Sons: Rolland (Jeannette) Apple of Kyle, SD, and Francis (Suzanne) White Lance of Allen, SD.
Daughter: Nevis Apple of Kyle, SD,
Brother: Orville Apple of Pine Ridge, SD,
Grandchildren: 8
Numerous Great Grandchildren
Francis was preceded in death by his parents, George and Susan (White Lance) Apple; spouse, Freda Apple; son, Christopher Allen Apple; brothers, Rolland, Paul, Kenneth, Anthony, and Woodrow “Boots” Apple; and sister, Dora Hernandez
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD, is in charge of arrangements.
