Memorial services for Rea Herrick, age 66, of Harrison, Nebraska will be Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Methodist Church in Harrison with Pastor George Kilmer officiating.

A memorial has been established for the United Methodist Church in Harrison. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.
Rea Anne Herrick died January 16 at Ponderosa Villa in Crawford.
Rea was born March 29, 1947 to Milford and LaVerne (DeKay) Brewster. She attended grade school at Bodarc and also Harrison Grade school. She graduated with the class of 1965 from Sioux County High School.
Rea attended Chadron State College and also spent time working in Casper, Wyoming. While attending college she met Ron Herrick of Benkleman, NE. They were united in marriage September 26, 1970. To this union one son, Chad was born.
She and Ron bought the Corner Market in Harrison, Nebraska store in 1978 and owned and operated the store until ill health forced her to retire.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron, and her parents.
Immediate Survivors:
Son: Chad.
Grandsons: Avery and Brennan, of Waterloo, Iowa.
Sister: Lea Lu Taylor of Kearney, Nebraska.
Nieces and Nephews: Numerous
Chamberlain Chapel of Crawford is in charge of arrangements.
