Memorial services for Jacquelyn M. Curd, of Chadron, will be Friday, May 30, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chadron.
Jacquelyn M. Curd was born January 27, 1930 in Grand Island, Ne to Denzil and Frances (Bush) Jenkins. She attended school in Grand Island, graduating from St. Mary’s High School in 1948.
Jackie married Jack Howell in 1950. They moved to San Francisco for a brief time while he served in the Air Force and then returned to Grand Island. The family moved to Lincoln, NE. Another move, in 1963, brought Jackie’s family to Denver, CO. There she raised three daughters, worked as secretary for a British company, Lucas Auto Parts, and enjoyed going to the Denver Symphony and theatre in the Denver area.
Rollin C. Curd and Jackie Howell were married in Denver on May 30, 1980. They moved to Chadron, NE after a trip to Alaska. Jackie enjoyed playing cards with friends and helping Rollin with his children and his survey business.
Jackie moved to Denver in January 2012 to be closer to her daughters. She passed away in Denver on May 16, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, and her first husband.
