Funeral services for Katherine “Kay” Trupp, age 94, formerly of Hay Springs, NE will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 10, at the First Congregational Church in Torrington, WY with Pastor Matt Gordon officiating.
Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery in Torrington, WY.
Memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church of Torrington or Pioneer Manor in Hay Springs, Nebraska.
Katherine “Kay” Trupp, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, July 5, 2014, Katherine was born July 31, 1919 near Torrington, Wyoming the daughter of John and Margaret (Deines) Helzer. Katherine was the eldest of four children. She married Leonard Trupp on June 4, 1939. To this union, two daughters, Kathy “Deann” and Mary Ellen, were born. Katherine and Leonard farmed in several locations in Nebraska and Wyoming. They resided in Torrington, Wyoming upon retirement. She enjoyed crochet and studying her Bible faithfully. Katherine will be remembered as a loving grandmother and will also be missed by her daughters and their spouses, along with all of her nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Daughters: Kathy “Deann” (Dean) Jensen and Mary Ellen (Thomas) Fortune;

Great grandchildren: numerous
Nieces and nephews: numerous
Brother-in-law: Marvin Gardner
Sister-in-law: Delbert and Elsie Trupp.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Floyd (Viola) Helzer and Donald Helzer and Sister Joan Gardner.
Colyer Funeral Home of Torrington, WY is in charge of arrangements for Katherine “Kay” Trupp.
