Funeral services for Johnny Wayne Afraid of Bear, age 50, will be Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 10:00AM at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD with Sister Barb officiating.
Burial service will be at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery in Slim Buttes, SD.
There will be a one night wake service Friday, July 11, 2014 at 4:00PM at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD.
Immediate survivors:
Brothers: Marvin and wife Merry Afraid of Bear and Irving Afraid of Bear
Sisters: Joan Afraid of Bear and Kathy Afraid of Bear
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Josephine (Yellow Horse) Afraid of Bear; and sisters, Patricia Afraid of Bear and Carol Afraid of Bear.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements.
