Funeral Services for Angel Rose Jumping Eagle-Janis, age 26, of Pine Ridge SD, will be Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10:00 AM, at the Wounded Knee District School in Wounded Knee, SD with Father Peter Klink, S.J. and Ms. Joyce Tibbitts officiating.
Burial will be at St. Agnes Catholic Church Cemetery in Wounded Knee, SD.
A two night wake service will start Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 1:30 PM, at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson, SD.
Angel Rose Jumping Eagle-Janis was born on June 10, 1988 in Pine Ridge, SD to Andre Janis and Carletta Jumping Eagle. Angel passed away on August 24, 2014 in Pine Ridge, SD. Immediate Surviviors:
Father: Andre Janis, Sr. of Wounded Knee, SD
Mother: Carletta Jumping Eagle of Manderson, SD
Son: Nolan Waters of Pine Ridge, SD
Daughters: Lacreeshaw Jumping Eagle and Jennie Waters both of Pine Ridge, SD; and Andreonna Crooked Eyes of Manderson, SD
Brothers: Carl Janis, Maurice Jumping Eagle, and Wanbli Jumping Eagle all of Manderson, SD, Andre Janis, Jr. of Wounded Knee, SD, and Christian Janis of Pine Ridge, SD
Sisters: Andrea Jumping Eagle, Brynda Janis, and Carteecia Jumping Eagle all of Manderson, SD
Grandparents: Curtis Janis of Wounded Knee, SD and Brynda Jumping Eagle of Manderson, SD
Angel was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jean Janis.
