Funeral Service Derrick Milton Elk Head, age 53, of Rapid City, SD will be Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD with Reverend Abraham Tobacco officiating.
Visitation Services will be Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM, at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD.
Burial will be at Advent Cemetery in Calico, SD
Derrick Milton Elk Head was born on December 24, 1960 in Rapid City, SD to Milton Elk Head and Charlotte Lakota. Derrick was the last male descendent of the Elk Head Family, and a carrier of the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe, which is located in Green Grass, SD. Derrick passed away on August 24, 2014 in Rapid City, SD.

Siblings: Charlotte White Mountain of McLaughlin, SD, Delbert Cavanaugh of Minneapolis, MN, Kolleen Gilda Elk Head of Montgomery, AL, Lawrence Two Bulls of Oglala, SD, Gaylen Two Bulls, Bernard Two Bulls, April Two Bulls, and Warren “Benji” Clown Horse all of Pine Ridge, SD
Derrick was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Lakota; father, Milton Elk Head; siblings, Baby Boy Elk Head, Baby Girl Elk Head; and grandmother, Florence Mousseau
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements.
