Funeral Services for Laurence Augustine Lamont, age 70, of Rapid City, SD, will be Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Buffalo Gap Community Center in Buffalo Gap, SD .

 

Burial will be Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 2:00 PM, at the Lakota Freedom Veterans Cemetery in Kyle, SD

 

Traditional Lakota Services provided by Mr. James Cross.

 

A one night wake services starting at 4:00 PM, Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Buffalo Gap Community Center in Buffalo Gap, SD.

 

Laurence Augustine Lamont was born on November 16, 1943 in Porcupine, SD to Augustine Lamont and Julia Brave Heart. Laurence entered the Spirit World on September 10, 2014 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

 

Immediate Survivors:

 

Spouse: Margaret Lamont of Buffalo Gap, SD

Children: Tasha Lamont and Torrence Lamont both of Pendleton, OR; and Kevin Lamont of Hot Springs, SD

Grandchildren: Taliah, Xzerzi, Lauren, and Devin Lamont all of Hot Springs, SD, Jessamy, Danny, and Ladrew Lamont all of Pendleton, OR.

 

Laurence was preceded in death by his parents, Augustine Lamont and Julia Brave Heart; and sisters, Marie and Claire Lamont.
