Funeral services for Delmar A. Hallsted age 76, of Wisner, NE will be on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner, NE.
Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be on Wednesday, November 12th at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvery Cemetery in Chadron, NE.
Delmar passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at the Wisner Care Center.
Delmar Allan Hallsted was born on July 12, 1938 at Whitney, NE to Alfred “Shorty” and Marie (Edwards) Hallsted. He attended the Flag Butte Country School, Chadron High School and later received his G.E.D. in 1972. Delmar was united in marriage to Celia “Timmie” Schommer on November 12, 1960 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chadron, NE. He worked various jobs prior to becoming a Brand Inspector for the Nebraska Brand Committee. The family lived in Chadron, Atkinson and Holdrege during his 35 year career. Delmar also was a gunsmith and an auctioneer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending gun shows as a vendor.

Delmar was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a grandson-Austin Hallsted.
