Funeral services for Marjorie Delores Tubbs, age 84, of Edgemont, SD will be at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs with Pastor Paul Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at the Edgemont Cemetery near Edgemont.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
A memorial in Marjorie’s name has been established to benefit the Edgemont Senior Citizens Center in Edgemont.

Marjorie passed away on January 30, 2015 at the SevenSistersLivingCenter in Hot Springs, SD. She was born April 15, 1930, at the Evans Hotel Annex in Hot Springs to Charles and Mildred (Hixson) Hardman. Marjorie spent her younger years in Buffalo Gap, SD, where she attended grade school. She later moved to Igloo, SD, where she graduated from High School in 1948. Marjorie met and married Edward Tubbs on Oct 17, 1948. To this union was born Edward Tubbs, Jr., Ben Tubbs and Melanie (Tubbs) Ditsch.
She was active in the Rebekah and Odd Fellows Lodges, Methodist and UCCChurches in South Dakota and Wyoming. Marjorie volunteered at the VA Center in Hot Springs and was also involved in many groups such as bowling, canasta, bridge, 4-H and Cub Scouts.
Marjorie is survived by sons Edward Tubbs of Edgemont and Ben (Patty) Tubbs of Hot Springs; daughter Melanie (Jim) Ditsch of Topeka, KS; brothers Donald Hardman of Carson, WA and Leland (Sue) Hardman of New Brighton, MN; sisters Shirley (Chuck) Johnson of Rapid City, SD and Marion Hills of Marina, CA; grandchildren Amber Tubbs, Paul Ditsch and Matt Ditsch; step-grandchildren Gary (Nikki) Ditsch; and great-grandson Kristopher Tubbs.
Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs is in charge of the arrangements for Marjorie Delores Tubbs.
