Funeral services for Santana Marie Janis, age 12, will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson, SD with traditional Lakota services provided by Keith Janis.
Burial will be at the Wahacanka Yapi Tiospaye Cemetery.
A two-night wake service will start at 4:00 PM on Monday, February 9, 2015 at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson.
Santana passed away on February 4, 2015 in Manderson, SD. She is survived by mother Earleen Janis of Manderson, SD; brothers Romeo Valle, Jr. and Monroe Tall, both of Manderson, SD; sisters Graceila Janis and Lisandra Tall, both of Manderson, SD, and Aaliyah Janis of Lincoln, NE; grandparents Earl Tall, Bernadette White Hawk, and Keith Janis, all of Manderson, SD; and great grandmother Roselyn White Hawk of Alliance, NE.
Santana was preceded in death by grandfather George Tall and great grandparents Hermus and Rachel (Crow) Janis.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Santana Marie Janis.
