Funeral services for Wilbert Rodney Janis, age 53, will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Hall in Kyle, SD with Rev. Cordelia Red Owl and Rev. Joan Conroy officiating.
Burial will be at St. Stephen’s Catholic Cemetery in Kyle, SD.
A one-night wake service will start at 12:00 PM on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Hall in Kyle.
Wilbert passed away on February 1, 2015 in Kyle, SD.

Spouse Sheryl Janis of Kyle, SD
Children Thomas (Jessica) Janis of Pine Ridge, SD, Royale Janis and Dwight Janis, both of Kyle, SD, and Katherine (Anthony Jumping Eagle) of Bismarck, ND
Mother Anita “Penny” Janis of Pine Ridge, SD.
Brothers Arlen (Betsy) Janis of Pine Ridge, SD and Ross (Melita) Janis of Batesland, SD
Sisters Deborah (Ted) Cordier of Pine Ridge, SD and Kay Ann Janis of Pine Ridge, SD
Grandchildren Shaun, Madison, Devin, Benjamin, and Andrew Janis, and Kashus Jumping Eagle
Wilbert was preceded in death by father Wilbert Janis, and grandparents Roy and Josephine (Palmier) Janis and Tom Sr. and Jeanette (Ross) Conroy.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Wilbert Rodney Janis.
