Funeral services for Howard Keith White, age 61, will be at 12:00 PM on Friday, March 27, 2015 at the AkicitaOtipiCommunity Center in Lower Brule, SD with officiating: Rev. Elton Yellow Boy. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Florentine Blue Thunder.
Burial will be at St. Albany’s Cemetery in Lower Brule, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin with the first night starting at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD and the second night starting at 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Akicita Otipi Community Center in Lower Brule, SD.
Howard passed away on March 20, 2015 in Rapid City, SD.
Survivors include:
Daughters Tara LeRose White, Barbara (Kerman) Neiss-Kills Small, and Lynda (Tom) Wilson, all of Oglala, SD; and Jolene Neiss of WashingtonState
Sisters Linda Kay White, Margret Daniels and Jo Marie White, all of Sioux Falls, SD; Cindy James of Dunseith, ND; and Pricilla White of Mitchell, SD
Brothers Leroy White and Lyle White, both of Little Eagle, SD; and Kenny James of Santee, NE
Howard was preceded in death by parents Ralph White Sr. and Vera Frazier, spouse Robert Crow-White, brother Ralph White Jr., and sister Sharon White.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Howard Keith White.
