Funeral services for Phillip “Wally” Waters “Sungmanitu Ska”, age 60, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the St. John’s Catholic Church Meeting Hall in Allen, SD with Father Rick Abert, S.J. Traditional Lakota services will provided Steve DuBray Sr., Mike Cross, and Lionel Yellow Hawk.
Burial will be at the Waters Family Cemetery in Allen, SD.
A three-night wake service will begin with the first night starting at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Leroy Waters Residence at Mission Flat in Pine Ridge, SD. The second and third night will start at 12:00 PM on Thursday & Friday, March 26 & 27, 2015 at the St. John’s Catholic Church Meeting Hall in Allen.
Phillip passed away on March 23, 2015 in Allen, SD.

Phillip was preceded in death by father Leroy Waters; brothers Louis Means Sr., Bryan Waters, Verdell Mesteth, Ivan Gibbons Sr., Wayne Whirlwind Horse, and Levi Whirlwind Horse Jr.; sisters Florita White Calf, Agnes Red Feather, Barbra Yellow Boy, Janice Means, and Frances Sherer; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmas and grandpas.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge is in charge of arrangements for Phillip “Wally” Waters “Sungmanitu Ska.”
