03/31/2015 - Louis Brave Heart Sr.
Funeral services for Louis Brave Heart Sr., age 85, will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Hall in Kyle, SD with Father Rick Abert, S.J. and Joyce Tibbitts officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Richard Broken Nose.
Burial will be at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Lakota Freedom Veterans Cemetery in Kyle, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin with the first night starting at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church Hall in Manderson, SD and the second night starting at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle. There will be a procession leaving Sioux Funeral Home at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 29, 2015.
Louis passed away on March 22, 2015 in Martin, SD. He was a veteran in the U.S. Marines.

Sons Louis Brave Heart, Jr. of Nampa, ID and Frank Brave Heart of Manderson, SD
Brother Wilmer Bad Yellow Hair of Pine Ridge, SD
Nieces Theresa, Marlene, Anita, & Shirley Brave Heart
Grandchildren Rosemarie and Jennifer Brave Heart and Devin and Natalia Brave Heart
Great-grandchildren: 5
Louis was preceded in death by parents Charles and Rose (Broken Leg) Brave Heart; stepfather Joseph Swimmer; brothers Joseph Brave Heart, Alfonzo Brave Heart, Steven Charles Brave Heart, James Swimmer, and Levi Swimmer; and sisters Lucy Brave Heart, Rosemarie Swimmer, and Emma Swimmer.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Louis Brave Heart Sr.
