Funeral services for Daniel James Loafer, age 24, will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Crazy Horse School in Wanblee, SD with Reverend Cordelia Red Owl. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Richard Moves Camp.
A two-night wake service will start at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Crazy Horse School in Wanblee.
Burial will be at Gethsemane Episcopal Church Cemetery in Wanblee, SD.
Daniel passed away on March 25, 2015 in Wanblee, SD.
Survivors include:
Parents Benjamin Loafer Sr. and Melody (Sitting Up) Loafer, both of Rapid City, SD
Sons Gabriel Loafer and Darius Loafer, both of Wanblee, SD
Daughter Kaleigha Loafer of Wanblee, SD
Brothers Myron Little Bald Eagle of Pierre, SD
Sisters Darlene Sitting Up, Dana Sitting Up, and Santana Loafer, all of Wanblee, SD
Step-brothers Mike Loafer, Shawn Loafer, Jami Loafer, and Benjamin Loafer Jr., all of Kyle, SD
Step-sister Trisari Loafer of Kyle, SD
Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and grandparents
Daniel was preceded in death by sister Deanna Loafer, and grandparents Richard and Margie Sitting Up and Acey Sr. and Yvonne Loafer.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Daniel James Loafer.
