Funeral services for Stella Mary Otte, age 90, will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 13, 2015 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rushville, NE with Reverend Louis A. Nollette officiating.
Pallbearers are Kirk Otte, Kelly Fish, Thomas Strubel, Jonathon Strubel, Mariana Otte, Frederick Otte, Karter Otte, Thor Fish, Kray Otte, Tylee Fish, Koy Otte and Tynlee Fish.
Burial will be in the Gordon Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Parkview Lodge Assisted Living, and donations may be sent in care of Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home, PO Box 366, Gordon, NE 69343.

Stella passed away on April 8, 2015 at Gordon Memorial Hospital. She was born August 23, 1924 to Frederick and Catherine Crowe in Valentine, NE.
Stella grew up near Valentine and the surrounding area. She attended high school at St. Mary's Academy in O'Neill, NE. She received her BSRN in Fort Smith, AR and later attained her MSRN in Minot, ND. She taught grammar school at Holy Rosary Mission, SD, and later returned to Fort Smith, AR to teach Nursing and college level English. She also worked as a nurse for many years at Gordon Memorial Hospital and as a social worker field nurse for Shannon County schools. In her later years, Stella enjoyed working at the Sheridan Livestock Auction Cafe.
Stella met Frederick Eugene Otte at Holy Rosary Mission, SD. They were married in Woodlake, NE on May 25, 1959. Gene and Stella made their home northwest of Gordon, NE where they raised their three children.
Stella was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rushville, NE. For many years she joyfully brought communion to people who were unable to attend mass.
Stella was a talented woman. She could sew an elaborate wedding dress, build a house complete with plumbing and electricity, and fix a tractor. One of her favorite passions was woodworking. Stella was also a fabulous cook and baker and nothing made her happier than cooking for her family. Stella loved people. She often said "That only a life lived for others is a life worth living."
Stella was a woman of great faith and tried her best to live her life for God. She did this by serving others.
Stella was so proud of her children and even more so of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the light of her life and brought her great joy.
Survivors include sons Frederick Otte (Conchita) Yigo of Guam and Daniel Otte (Sherry) of Rushville, NE; daughter Sheila Bonen (Arlyn) of Huron, SD; grandchildren Kirk Otte, Kelly Fish, Thomas Strubel, Jonathon Strubel, Mariana Otte, and Frederick Otte; great-grandchildren Karter Otte, Thor Fish, Kray Otte, Tylee Fish, Koy Otte and Tynlee Fish; brother Cecil Crowe; and sister Kay Bennett.
