Funeral services for 69-year old George William Pumpkin Seed Sr of Wanblee will be Saturday, May 16, at 11:00 a-m at the Wanblee CAP Office in Wanblee, SD, with the Rev. Cordelia Red Owl & Fr. Rick Abert, S.J  officiating.

     A two night wake service starts Thursday, May 14, at 6:00 PM at the Wanblee CAP Office in Wanblee, SD

      Burial will be at Gethsemane Episcopal Church Cemetery

      George William Pumpkin Seed Sr served in the Marines and Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge is in charge of arrangements.

Spouse: Shirley Pumpkin Seed of Wanblee, SD

Sons: George Pumpkin Seed, Jr., Paul Pumpkin Seed, and Terence Pumpkin Seed all of Wanblee, SD, and Konrad Pumpkin Seed of Junction City, KS

Daughter: Annette Red Owl of Wanblee, SD

Brother: Denver Pumpkin Seed of Wanblee, SD

Adopted Brother: Guy Dull Knife, Sr. of Red Water, SD

Sisters: Loretta Pumpkin Seed of Chicago, IL, Sylvia Shaw and Roselyn Pumpkin Seed both of Wanblee, SD

Grandchildren: Kenny, Kendra, & Garrik Stands, Arthur, Sadie, & Hattie Red Owl, Brittany, Spring, Konrad, Jr., Kash, and Macey Pumpkin Seed

Great Grandchildren: Emanuel and Elianna Brown

George, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, William Pumpkin Seed and Bertha Lipp; son, Troy Pumpkin Seed; brothers, Lloyd Pumpkin Seed, Duane Pumpkin Seed, and Michael Pumpkin Seed; and two grandchildren, Simora Pumpkin Seed and Kurt Pumpkin Seed.
