05/16/2015 - Sheila "Jo" Johnson

       Funeral services for 62-year old Shelia "Jo" Johnson will be Saturday, May 16, at 11:00 AM,  in the Porcupine Prayer House in Porcupine, SD, with Ministers Wilson Coleman and David Lays Back officiating.

 Burial will be in the Chief White Bull Family Cemetery in Porcupine, SD

Visitation will be Saturday morning from 8:00 - 11:00 at the Porcupine Prayer House.

       Shelia "Jo" Johnson went to be with her heavenly father on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, in Pueblo, Colorado. She was born on July 27, 1952 in North Platte, Nebraska to James L. Johnson and Lena Lou Spotted Crow.

     Shelia gave her heart to the Lord several years ago. At the time of her death she was attending New Hope Baptist Church in Pueblo, Colorado; where she served as an usher and anywhere else she was needed.

      Shelia loved life to the fullest. She loved to see others smile or laugh, and enjoyed teasing people to get a smile. Shelia loved being on the go so much that her grandchildren called her "Granny-on-the-Street!"

To Cherish her memories, Shelia leaves her brothers; Abraham Curry, Sr. (Tina) of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Willie B. Johnson of Omaha, Nebraska. Sisters, Charleene Franklin (Charles), Julie Hopkins (Thomas) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Charlotte Hancock (Edward) of Pueblo, Colorado;

Also surviving are a Sister-in-Law; Elsie Glastow of Fayette, MO and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous friends and other relatives.

Preceding Sheilia "Jo" in death were her parents, grandmothers (Irene Ford and Lucy Spotted Crow); brothers (Nathan Carlton Johnson), (Charles Johnson), and nephews (William Thornton Harris Jr., and James O'Neal Johnson).
