Funeral services for Michael Larry New Holy, age 50, will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Recreation Center in Oglala, SD with Sister Connie Schmidt officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Richard Broken Nose and Cornell Conroy.

Burial will be at Our Lady of Good Council Cemetery in Oglala, SD.

A wake service will begin at 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the RecreationCenter in Oglala, SD.

Michael passed away on May 22, 2015 in Pine Ridge, SD.

Sons Mark New Holy of New Town, ND, Christopher New Holy of Chadron, NE, Lewis New Holy of Rapid City, SD, and Larry New Holy of Pine Ridge, SD

Daughters Ariel Blacksmith and Jasmine New Holy of Pine Ridge, SD

Brother Emory New Holy of Oglala, SD

Sisters Shirley Iron Road of Mandan, ND and Veronica Jones of Linden, TN

Grandchildren Aiyana, Darrien, and Adrien New Holy, all of Chadron, NE, and Nazareth Charging of Pine Ridge, SD

Michael was preceded in death by parents Aloysius New Holy and Martha Elizabeth Good Voice Flute; brothers Marvin New Holy, Melvin New Holy, and Lyle New Holy; sister Betty New Holy; and daughter Desiree New Holy.
