Funeral services for Vernon Matthew Jealous of Him, age 68, will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Senior Citizens Center in Kyle, SD with Reverend Cordelia Red Owl officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by David Swallow Jr.
Burial will be at St. Alban’s Cemetery in Porcupine, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin with the first night starting at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Jealous of Him Residence in Evergreen, Porcupine, SD, then moving to the Senior Citizen Center in Kyle, SD. The second night will start at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 4, 2014 at the Our Lady of Sorrows Hall in Kyle, SD.
Vernon passed away on May 25, 2015 in Rapid City, SD.

Wife Sterline Rooks-Jealous of Him of Kyle, SD
Brother Albert Jealous of Him of Allen, SD
Sister Brenda Iron Boy of Porcupine, SD
Cousin Velma Kills Back of Porcupine, SD
Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren
Vernon was preceded in death by parents Roy Jealous of Him and Katherine Black Bull-Jealous of Him, and siblings Patrick James Jealous of Him, Naomi Jealous of Him and Martha Frogg.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Vernon Matthew Jealous of Him.
