Funeral services for Jessie Deanna Yellow Boy “Wicahpi Ska,” age 21, will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the American Horse School in Allen, SD with Pastor Ken Trivitte officiating.
Burial will be at Allen Community Cemetery in Allen, SD.
A one-night wake service will start at 12:00 PM on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the American Horse School in Allen, SD.
Jessie passed away on June 6, 2015 in Allen, SD. She was a miracle baby. She was born April 27, 1994 and had a bright future ahead. She graduated from Bennett County High School in May 2012. She attended the Upward Bound MSIP Program all through her high school years and got into the Crazy Horse Program after she graduated. She then went onto USD in Vermillion, SD. After her first year, she returned to Allen and completed classes at O.L.C. She was a few classes away from her associate’s degree in early childhood education. She worked at Cedar Pass during the summer, so she was always busy. Jessie was young and had her future planned out. She was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
Jessie is survived by mother Eula Yellow Boy of Allen, SD; grandmother Melissa Yellow Boy of Allen, SD: uncles Everett Yellow Boy Jr., Vincent DuBray, and Charles Wilson, all of Allen, SD, Adrian Yellow Boy of Porcupine, SD, and Russell Running Hawk of Kyle, SD; aunts Roberta Yellow Boy, Joni Salomon, Marie Salomon, Vinette DuBray, Angie Sanchez, Tonya Gonzalez, and Irene Martin, all of Allen, SD, Prairie Rose Chapin and Rachel DuBray, both of New Town, ND, Sylvia Yellow Boy and Joyce Yellow Boy, both of Porcupine, SD, and Vanice Shearer of Death Valley, CA; godparents Raquel Reddest and Ray Hilderbrand of Allen, SD; hunka grandparents Melvin & Eula Young of Allen, SD, Elvira & John Green of Indiana, and Kathy & Paul Bentley of Rapid City, SD; unci’s Hazel Wilson, Irene Mabin, and Delores Mabin, all of Allen, SD; and great uncles Sam DuBray of Allen, SD & Wilson Yellow Boy of Martin, SD.
