Funeral Services for Marvin Reno Catches will be this Friday (July 24) at 10:00 at Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD, with The Rev. Abraham Tobacco officiating.

Burial will be at the Catches Family Cemetery in Calico, SD

Two-night wake services will start Wednesday at 4:30 PM,also at Brother Rene Hall in Oglala.

Marvin Catches is survived by his Biological Mother Lois Bordeaux of Hot Springs, SD, and companion Heather Poor Bear, son Jacob Catches and daughters Kaitlin Catches and Marlene Catches, and one grandchild - all of Wounded Knee, SD,

He is also survived by brothers James (Judy) Catches Sr of Chadron, Louis Ramos and Charlie (Bobbie Jo) Pablo both of Hot Springs; sisters Arvela Catches of Calico, Bernice (Jim Greene) Catches of Glenwood Springs, CO, Emily (Lonnie White Mountain Sr) White Mountain of Chadron, Edelyn “Sis” Catches of Oglala, Troy Lynn (John Briggs) Briggs of Slim Buttes, SD, and Della (Cody Poor Thunder) Poor Thunder of Rapid City, SD,

Marvin was preceded in death by his biological father, Reno Lodge; parents, Everett Catches and Hildegard Respects Nothing; daughter, Kayla Catches; and siblings Gaylord Catches Sr, Elroy Catches Sr, Everett Catches Jr, Benjamin Benford Catches, Gordon Lodge, and Doreen Richards.

Marvin Reno Catches served in the U-S Coast Guard and the National Guard. Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge is in charge of his arrangements.
