Funeral services for Leon Wayne Cross Sr., age 67, will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Kennedy Hall in Wanblee, SD with Father Rick Abert, S.J., officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Robert Cross.
Burial will be at the St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery in Wanblee, SD.
A one-night wake service will start at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Kennedy Hall in Wanblee.
Leon passed away on August 13, 2015 in Bismarck, ND.

Son Leon Cross Jr. of Green Bay, WI
Daughters Fara Smith of Phoenix, AZ, Colleen Smith of Sioux Falls, SD, and Tracy Garcia-Medina of White Shield, ND
Brothers Robert Cross of Wiggins, CO and Joseph Cross of Pine Ridge, SD
Sisters Vonnie Bettelyoun and Susan Mesteth-Thunder Shield of Wanblee, SD, Lori Cross of Bemidji, MN, and Amy Cross and Jessica Cross of Minneapolis, MN
Half-sister: Debbie Zegger of Sturgis, SD

Leon was preceded in death by parents Lawrence Cross and Grace Iron White Man and spouse Elaine Juanita Beston-Cross.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Leon Wayne Cross Sr.
