Funeral services for Darwin Eagle Louse Sr., age 48, will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD with Sister Barb officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Richard Broken Nose.
Burial will be at St. Peter’s Episcopal Cemetery in Oglala, SD.
A one-night wake service will start at 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala.
Darwin passed away on August 23, 2015 in Rapid City, SD.
Survivors include:
Children Darwina (Cody) Matcham of Oklahoma, Darwin (Chante) Eagle Louse Jr. of Rapid City, SD, and Latonia Eagle Louse of Rapid City, SD
Brothers Darnell Eagle Louse of Rapid City, SD, Alton Eagle Louse of Oglala, SD, Malcolm Eagle Louse of Martin, SD, and Ken LaDeaux of Rosebud, SD
Sisters Jocelyn (Frank) Apple of Kyle, SD and Jerlene Arredondo of Oglala, SD
Special friend Patricia Janis of Pine Ridge, SD
Mother Goldie Broken Nose of Rapid City, SD
Grandchildren Shane, Carmen, and Makayla
Darwin was preceded in death by father Charles Eagle Louse Jr.; brother Lenny Eagle Louse; and sister Rolanda Bear Robe.
