Funeral services for Emerson Burnell Dupris “Ta Oyate Ota,” age 32 weeks gestation, will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Parish Hall, Our Lady of Lourdes, in Porcupine, SD with Reverend Harold Eagle Bull officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Rick Two Dogs.
Burial will be at the Inestimable Gift Cemetery in Allen, SD.
Emerson passed away on September 6, 2015 in Rapid City, SD.
Survivors include:
Parents Jesse Dupris and Jennifer Iron Cloud of Rapid City, SD
Brother Corleone Dupris of Cibecue, AZ
Grandparents Ilene Packard of Rapid City, SD, Roger Iron Cloud of Fairfax, VA, Cheryl Shooter of Bullhead, SD, and Gary Dupris of Eagle Butte, SD
Great-grandparents Ruby Red Wing-Iron Cloud of Martin, SD and Edward Dupris of Eagle Butte, SD
Emerson was preceded in death by great-grandparents Caroline Packard, Cy Iron Cloud, Pauline Silk and Jerry Shooter.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Emerson Burnell Dupris “Ta Oyate Ota.”
