There will be no formal services for 95-year-old Mildred L. (Morrison) Leonard of Chadron, NE, who passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015.
Cremation has taken place, and private burial services will be held at a later date.

Mildred was born on October 14, 1919 in Newport, NE. She was the fourth of seven children born to Dewett and Ethel (Davis) Morrison. She graduated from Newport High School in 1937. On February 17, 1946, she was united in marriage to Victor Leonard. They had two children, Vicki and Steve.
Vic’s career with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission took them to several different locations within the state before their retirement years in Chadron.
Mildred spent the last days of her life in the compassionate hands of the staff at the Highland Park Care Center memory support unit in Alliance, NE.
Immediate survivors include daughter Vicki (John) Chizek, son Steve (Pam) Leonard, three grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by all of her siblings, husband Victor, grandson Craig Chizek, and daughter-in-law Patricia Leonard.
Joliffe Funeral Home of Scottsbluff is in charge of arrangements for Mildred L. (Morrison) Leonard.
