09/26/2015 - Moses Bull Bear Sr.
Funeral services for Moses Van Bull Bear Sr., age 58, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church Hall in Kyle, SD with Reverend Harold Eagle Bull officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Richard Broken Nose and MJ Bull Bear with the drum group Imitates Dog Drum.
Burial will be at 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Lakota Freedom Veterans Cemetery in Kyle, SD.
Wake services will begin with the first night at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the St. Agnes Church Hall in Manderson, SD. The second night will start at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church Hall in Kyle, SD.
Moses passed away on September 20, 2015 in Rapid City, S. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include:
Children Jada (Matthew) Barrett of Mandan, ND and Moses Van Bull Bear II of Bismarck, ND
Grandchildren Claire Barrett of Mandan, ND and Adrianna Barrett and Matthew Barrett II of Bismarck, ND
Siblings Marcel D. (Hazel) Bull Bear and Morris (Claudine) Bull Bear, Emma (Jim) Featherman-Sam, Betty Bull Bear, and Lisa Bull Bear, all of Kyle, SD; Delores “Binky” Bull Bear of Michigan; and Judy Bull Bear of Rapid City, SD.
Moses was preceded in death by parents Morris Bull Bear and Isabel Featherman; granddaughter Matilda Barrett; brothers Delano Featherman and Ed Young Man Afraid of His Horses; and grandparents Jesse Bull Bear, Julia Morrison, Daniel Featherman, and Kiva Standing Buffalo.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Moses Van Bull Bear Sr.
