Funeral services for Shaquille Edward Thunder Hawk, age 22, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Morse Memorial United Methodist Church in Rushville, NE with Pastor Paul Smith officiating.

Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Rushville, NE.

A one-night wake service will start at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the American Legion Post 161 in Rushville, NE.

Shaquille was called home on October 3, 2015 in Casper, WY, as a result of a car accident. He was born June 24, 1993 in Rapid City, SD to Donell Evans and Terry Thunder Hawk.

Shaquille spent his younger years living between Nebraska and Minnesota, attending school in both places. In Gordon, NE, Shaquille joined wrestling and proved to be very good at it. He then moved on to and attended the Pine Ridge Job Corps, where he spread his sarcastic charm and made many friends from all across the country and around the world. From Job Corps, he graduated with Laborer’s Maintenance.

After Job Corps, he moved to Lincoln for a short time where he worked in construction. After a few months there, he decided to move back home to be with his mother. While he was back, he worked at Ideal Market as the self-proclaimed “Mall Cop.” While there, he wiggled his way into their hearts.

Being the restless spirit that he was, he moved to Winner, SD for some time, working for Kooch’s Washing where he cleaned pheasants.

His last journey landed him in Casper, WY. There he found the job he loved most, working as an apprentice for Budget Plumming & Rooter.

Shaquille was preceded in death by great-grandparents Kenny and Lena Johns; grandparents Dallas and Theresa Evans; great-aunt Leona; and brother Kenleigh Thunder Hawk.

Shaquille is survived by mother Donell Evans; father Terry Thunder Hawk and wife Jessica; siblings Darci Hamilton, Jessica American Horse, and Dakota, Martina, Raiden, Keiran, and Torin Thunder Hawk; niece and nephew Chevy and Haven; uncles Travis Johns, Taylor Johns, Dalvin Evans, and JD Evans; aunts Denise Evans, April Thunder Hawk, and Francine Woman Dress; grandmother Linda John; and many cousins.

Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Shaquille Edward Thunder Hawk.
