10/22/2015 - William (Bill) Strong
A memorial service for William Frederick (Bill) Strong, age 78, formerly of Chadron, NE, will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the U.S. Houston National Cemetery in Houston, TX.
Bill passed away on October 13, 2015 in The Woodlands, TX. He was born to Frederick and Margaret Strong August 12, 1937, in Chadron, NE.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Virginia Gergely Strong and sisters Amy Franklin, Ruth Jackson and Carol Groves. He is survived by his children Elizabeth Trowbridge, William Strong and Jennifer Pittman and their families as well as his sisters Jenny Gregory and Kathy Nichols and their families.
Bill was a proud Army veteran and worked for Exxon for 51 years. Pop Pop will be greatly missed by his four grandchildren Caroline, Whitney and Fisher Strong and Clara Trowbridge as well as his faithful dog, Sammie. He will be forever remembered for his wonderful stories.
Klein Funeral Home of Northwest Houston is in charge of the arrangements for William Frederick (Bill) Strong.
