Funeral services for Valerie Diane Brings Yellow, age 50, will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Richard Broken Nose.
Burial will be held at a later date.
A one-night wake service will begin at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD.
Valerie passed away on October 15, 2015 in Oglala, SD.
Survivors include:
Sons Martin Vanderburg and Rayvis Vanderburg of Arlee, MT
Daughter Jubilee Vanderburg of Arlee, MT
Brothers Reginald Roan Eagle of Spirit Lake, ND, Alonzo Brings Yellow of Ronan, MT, and John Brings Yellow III of Taholah, WA
Valerie was preceded in death by parents John and Verna (Roan Eagle) Brings Yellow; daughter Monica Vanderburg; and brother Theodore Brings Yellow.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Valerie Diane Brings Yellow.
