Funeral services for Jessie R. Sanchez, age 98, formerly of Alliance, NE, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 9, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Alliance, NE with Father Roy Pasala and Father Tim Stoner officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Alliance.
A wake service will be at 7:00 PM on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
A memorial has been established. Donations may be given to Pioneer Manor in Hay Springs, NE or Crestview Care Center in Chadron.

Jessie passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Crestview Care Center in Chadron, where she was residing. She was born on October 20, 1917 to Bruna and Francisco R. Reyes in Fort Worth, TX and was raised in Bayard, NE. Jessie graduated from Bayard High School in 1939, and for the next four years she worked various jobs. During this time, she met and married Jesse Sanchez of Alliance on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1944. They settled in Alliance and raised their two children, Gene and Vera.
Jessie was a member of our Lady of Guadalupe Club for many years and believed in her faith strongly. She was a dedicated employee at Box Butte General Hospital, from which she retired at the age of 70.
Jessie was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, one brother, and one granddaughter.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Gene and Betty Sanchez of Chadron; daughter and son-in-law Vera and Bob Bowers of Atlanta, GA; sister Elnma Gollas of Scottsbluff; brother Frank Reyes of Sacramento, CA; 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was loved by her family and friends and will be remembered for her love, loyalty to her family, and never-ending stories of her young days working in the fields and her love to dance.
Her family would like to say a special thanks to the staff of Pioneer Manor in Hay Springs and the staff of Crestview Manor in Chadron for their special care and attention to their Mom; it was truly appreciated by the family.
