Funeral services for Larry Schott, age 62, of Chadron, NE will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron, NE with Tom Serres officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Chadron.
A memorial has been established for the Bread Basket. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970, Chadron, NE69337.

Larry, a life-long resident of Chadron, NE, died unexpectedly on November 28, 2015 at Chadron Community Hospital.
Larry is survived by mother June Schott; children Jerrod, Brianna, Justin and Matthew Schott; siblings Yvonnia Schott of Loveland CO, Garry and Les Schott of Fort Collins, CO, and Tarry Schott of Blaine MN; 12 grandchildren; nieces Vanessa Boyd of Thornton CO, and Hannah Schott of Blaine, MN; nephew Daniel Schott, Blaine MN; friend of the family Sheila Motz; and cats Shady and Lady.
He was preceded in death by father Don Schott.
Larry was born in Crawford, NE on September 19, 1953 to June and Don Schott. He graduated from ChadronHigh School in 1973. During 1975-1979, he served in the U.S. Army as a member of the First Airborne.
Larry enjoyed playing softball and basketball on several community leagues. He enjoyed helping others; he volunteered weekly at Bread Basket, would often visit nursing home residents, and helped many residents repair vehicles. He was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker Fan, along with the Pittsburgh Steelers. A passion of Larry’s was writing cards and letters to his siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephew and friends. He never “passed the buck” by missing birthdays; he always sent a card. His friends and family will be sending him love from their hearts now.
