Memorial services for Rex E. Abbott, age 64, will be at 1:30 PM onMonday, December 7, 2015 at the PrairieViewMethodistChurch near Smithwick with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating.
A memorial has been established in Rex’s name for the Oelrichs Rodeo Association and the Oelrichs Play Day.

Rex passed away at his home near Smithwich, SD, on December 2, 2015. He was born in Denver, CO on March 19, 1951 to Herbert and Georgene (Kern) Abbott. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1970 until his honorable discharge in 1973.
He is survived by wife Ann of Smithwick; son Clint (Heather) Abbott of Smithwick; daughter Tina (Mike) Christimck of Wheatland, WY; brother Douglas (Johnna) Abbott of Keenesburg, CO; sister Sandra (David Rupple) Galey of Brighton, CO; mother Georgene Abbott of Keenesburg; and four grandsons.
Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs is in charge of arrangements for Rex E. Abbott.
