Funeral services for Carolyn M. Bickford, age 80, formerly of Chadron, NE, will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the First Congregational Church in Chadron, NE with Pastor Russ Seger officiating.
Burial will be in the GreenwoodCemetery in Chadron.
A visitation will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 11, 2015 until service time at the First Congregational Church.

Carolyn passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow, NE. She was born on September 3, 1935 in Whitney, NE to Richard and Gwen (Connell) Walcott. She grew up in the Whitney and Chadron area and attended school there.
On February 11, 1953, she was married to Leroy “Bob” Bickford. They made their home on a ranch near Chadron. Carolyn worked at Montgomery Ward, the Dawes County Assessors’ office and the ASCS office. Bob passed away on September 13, 2006. Carolyn lived on the ranch until her health forced her to move to the nursing home in Broken Bow near her son.
Carolyn enjoyed country living, cooking, canning, and fishing. She is survived by children Rick, Steve and Carla; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; many cousins; and some of her brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one granddaughter. Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow is in charge of arrangements for Carolyn M. Bickford.
