Funeral services for Evelyn Rose New, age 67, will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Wakpamni CAP Office in Pine Ridge, SD with Reverend Abraham Tobacco officiating.
Burial will be at the Wolf Creek Community Cemetery in Wolf Creek, SD.
A one-night wake service will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Wakpamni CAP Office.
Evelyn passed away on December 13, 2015 in Pine Ridge, SD.
Evelyn was born on January 4, 1948 in Calico, SD to Paul Lone Elk and Beatrice Theone (Little Soldier) Lone Elk. She passed away on December 13, 2015 at her home in Pine Ridge, SD.
Evelyn is survived by daughters Marella (Bill) Burch of Casper, WY, April (Eric) Little Brave of Wheatland, WY, and Nada (Shawn) Archilta of Rapid City, SD; sons Darrell New Jr. of Pine Ridge, SD and Cyrus Black Elk of Fort Yates, ND; sisters Pauline Wilson of Pine Ridge, SD, Cecelia LaPointe, Faith Yellow Boy, and Joy Yellow Boy of Wolf Creek, SD; hunka brother Rick Grey Grass of Wakpamni Lake; grandchildren Adel New, Brooklyn New, and Ryleigh New of Rapid City, SD, Erica and Tyler Two Crow, Celeste Black Feather, Daeson Two Bulls, Zion Yellow Boy, Aaron, Angel, and Alyssa Yellow Boy of Wolf Creek, SD, Shaquille, Tashina, and Mahryah Esparza, and Koby, Terry, Jordan, Vincent, Jaylah, Leatrice, Freddy Lee Jr., and Kleo Warner and Tamikka Perry of Bellevue, NE; great-grandchild Keanu New of Rapid City, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by parents Paul and Beatrice Lone Elk; spouse Reverend Darrell Thomas New Sr.; brother Eugene Yellow Boy Jr.; and sister Ella Yellow Boy.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Evelyn Rose New.
