A Mass of Christian Burial for Faye Gladys Steele, age 87, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD with Father Chris Johnson S.J. officiating.
Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the MichiganMemorial Park in Flat Rock, MI.
Faye was born on October 28, 1928 in Detroit, MI to Jessi Eli Wofford and Lema Rose (Merrival) Wofford. She passed away on December 14, 2015 at the Hospice of the Hills in Rapid City, SD.
Faye is survived by sister Bonita L. (Larry) Jacobs of Tulsa, OK; granddaughter Michelle Yellow Bird of Pine Ridge, SD; great-grandson Jasper Yellow Bird of Pine Ridge, SD; and nephews Edward Fletcher and Jessie Randall Fletcher of Tulsa, OK.
Faye was preceded in death by parents Jessi and Lema (Merrival) Wofford; spouse Jack R. Steele; and son Lonnie Wayne Steele.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Faye Gladys Steele.
