Memorial services for Douglas M. Price, age 71, will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 7, 2015at the United Methodist Church in Alliance, NE with Jeanie Sedivy officiating.
Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.
A memorial has been established. Donations may be given to the United Methodist Women or to the church’s music program.

Doug passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Good Samaritan Health Care Center. He was born on August 23, 1944 in Alliance to Glenn H. and Pauline (Estes) Price of Hemingford.
Doug graduated from Hemingford High School in 1962 and then attended Chadron State College, graduating with a degree in Industrial Arts.
He married July L. Nielsen on June 5, 1966 in Alliance. In 1969, he began working for Burlington Northern Railroad as a clerk and hostler and worked there until his retirement. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Community Choir. He was a former member of the Hemingford Volunteer Fire Department, Alliance Jaycees and had served previously in the Nebraska National Guard. He loved woodworking and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by wife Judy; children Christina L. Hilligoss of Roselle, IL, Steven (Christine) Price of Cheyenne, WY and Carolyn (Adam) Reinhart of Alliance; grandchildren Nevin Price and Abbie Marti of Chadron, NE and Jared Price and Rachel Price of Cheyenne, WY; brother Mel (Joy) Price of Hemingford; sister Carol (Jim) Bruns of Hemingford; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Darlene Price of Pierce, NE, Sharon Price of Omaha, NE, Harold (Joan) Nielsen of Casper, WY and Verla Yowell of Riverton, WY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by brothers Dale and Dwain Price and brother-in-law Butch Yowell.
