Funeral services for Vienna Good Voice Elk, age 88, will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with Senior Catechist Ben Conquering Bear and Reverend Harold Eagle Bull officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Billy Good Voice Elk Jr.
Burial will be at the Mediator Episcopal Church Cemetery in Kyle, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD.
Vienna passed away on January 2, 2016 in Martin, SD.
Vienna Good Voice Elk was born on November 2, 1927 at her home in Kyle, SD to Samuel Good Voice Elk Sr. and Winnie Sitting Eagle. Vienna passed away peacefully on January 2, 2016 at the Bennett County Hospital & Nursing Home in Martin, SD.
Vienna is survived by daughter Delphine Bullman of Kyle, SD; grandchildren Peter Brown Bull, Verdell Brown Bull, Richard Fool Bull, and Lisa Brown Bull of Kyle, SD and Carl Bone Shirt Jr. of Kyle, SD; special niece Wilma Good Voice Elk of Oglala, SD; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Vienna was preceded in death by parents Samuel Good Voice Elk Sr. and Winnie Sitting Eagle; spouse Sylvester Bullman; daughter Delma Joyce Bullman; sisters Virginia, Jeanette, Betinna, and Victoria Good Voice Elk; brothers Billy Sr., Gary, and Percy Good Voice Elk; grandchildren Carlene Bone Shirt, Betinna Bone Shirt, Jasmine Joyce Little Elk, and Garrett Fool Bull; and special friend Hamilton Kills Plenty.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Vienna Good Voice Elk.
