Funeral services for Ruth Harriet Janis-Salway, age 67, will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the LaCreek CAP Office in Martin, SD with Pastor John Poff and Reverend Harold Eagle Bull officiating.
Burial will be announced at a later date.
A one-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 8, 2016 at the LaCreek CAP Office in Martin, SD.
Ruth passed away at January 5, 2016 in Martin, SD.
Ruth was born on January 15, 1948 in Kyle, SD to Leonard Janis Sr. and Myrtle Two Crow. Ruth passed away on January 5, 2016 at the BennettCountyHospital and Nursing Home in Martin, SD.
Ruth is survived by children John Janis of Martin, SD, Richard Conquering Bear of Rapid City, SD, Hope Conquering Bear and Irvin Salway of Martin, SD, and Curtis; brother Leonard (Valentina) Janis Jr. of Hisle, SD; hunka sister Debra Harris of Washington; 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by parents Leonard Janis Sr. and Myrtle Two Crow; children Benjamin Long Wolf Sr., Joseph Conquering Bear; and Seth Salway; and half-brother Sterling Two Crow.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Ruth Harriet Janis-Salway.
