Funeral services for Robert Louis Moran Jr., age 54, will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD with Reverend Rhoda Mesteth officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Ray Briggs.
Burial will be at St. Matthews Cemetery in Slim Buttes, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Hall in Pine Ridge, SD.
Robert passed away on January 8, 2016 in Pine Ridge, SD. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army. He was born on June 29, 1962 in Pine Ridge, SD to Robert Louis Moran Sr. and Ramona Tyon.
Robert is survived by brother Ramon “Mike” Moran of Sioux Falls, SD; and nieces and nephews James Madden, Dawn (Jason) Tinney, Bethany Evans, Zachary Evans, John Witt, Jessica Hamaker, Brittney Hamaker, Ashley Hamaker, Imani Bolon, Keith Williams, Amber Martinez, and Susan Dillon.
Robert was preceded in death by parents Robert Sr. and Ramona (Tyon) Moran; spouse Clarinda (Eagle Bull) Moran; and siblings James Moran, Francis Moran, Ellen Moran, Diane Moran, Donna (Moran) Evans, and Manuel Moran.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Robert Louis Moran Jr.
