01/16/2016 - Randolph “Randy” Reeves

Funeral services for Randolph “Randy” Raymond Reeves Jr. of Columbus, NE, age 54, will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Chamberlain Drabbels Mortuary in Hay Springs, NE with Pastor Paul Smith officiating.
 
Burial will be at the Hay Springs City Cemetery in Hay Springs, NE.
 
A memorial has been established. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Drabbels Mortuary, PO Box 443, Hay Springs, NE 69347.

Randy passed away on January 11, 2016 at his home in Columbus, NE. He was born to Randolph Raymond Reeves Sr. and Virginia Ellen (Taylor) Reeves of Hay Springs, NE.
 
Randolph married Vivian Harris in Yankton, SD on March 18, 1994. To this marriage, three children were born: Gordon Harris of Columbus, NE; Rebecca Harris of ColumbusNE; and Samuel Reeves of Grand Island, NE.
 
Randy worked as a paper carrier for the Omaha World Herald and also did bell ringing for the Salvation Army and lawn mowing. The last job he did was the Columbus Telegram. He lived in Hay Springs and then Columbus, NE until he passed away.
 
His hobbies were bike riding, lawn mowing, drawing, playing guitar, bell ringing, and spending time with his family and seeing others happy. He was a member and will always be a member of the Discover Hope of Columbus, NE.
 
Survivors include wife Vivian L. Reeves; son Gordon H. Harris; daughter Rebecca Harris; son Samuel R. Reeves; sister Quience Reeves; sister Melody Reeves; brother Kit Reeves; mother-in-law Mary Harris; grandchildren Cory, Wyatt, Ramsey, Aurora, and William; step-grandchildren Sabrina, Dakota, Sami, and Maria; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
 
Randy was preceded in death by parents Randy Sr. and Virginia Reeves; brother Richard “Dick” Reeves; grandparents Marshall and Emma Reeves of Hay Springs and Henry and Goldie Taylor of Hay Springs; and Uncle Tom Reeves of Hay Springs.
 
Chamberlain Drabbels Mortuary of Hay Springs, NE is in charge of arrangements for Randolph “Randy” Reeves.
