01/22/2016 - Constance 'Connie' Miller
Memorial services for Constance Lucille ‘Connie’ Miller, age 106, of Oelrichs, SD will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the PrairieViewUnitedMethodistChurch with Dr. J. Edwin Coates officiating.
A memorial has been established for the Prairie View United Methodist Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Connie passed away on January 15, 2016 at Crestview Care Center in Chadron, NE. She was born December 28, 1909, the oldest child of Fred and Annie (Williams) Johansen, in Hay Springs, NE. She graduated from the HaySpringsHigh School in 1927, received a Teacher’s Certificate from Chadron Normal (CSC), and taught in country schools for a total of 12 years. Connie married William (Bill) Miller on August 21, 1932. They lived north of Chadron, NE, where their three children were born. In 1943, they moved to a ranch/farm in western South Dakota where they raised sheep and cattle. Connie was active in the Oelrichs Methodist Church as a member and Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Lonewell Extension Club. Connie loved gardening and bird watching.
Connie is survived by daughters Anna Marie (Ray) Maynard of Hampshire, IL and Jean Agee of Worland, WY; son William (Sharon) Miller of Oelrichs, SD; eight grandsons; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Madge Dogger of Palm Springs, CA and Norma (Ken) Patton of Casper, WY; and many nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers Fred, Ferd, Ellis, Horace, and Willard; sister Thelma Carter; son-in-law Cliff Agee; and great-grandson Ryan Maynard.
Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs is in charge of arrangements for Constance Lucille ‘Connie’ Miller.
