Funeral services for Aloysius James Black Bear, age 53, will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at St. Agnes Catholic Hall in Manderson, SD with Reverend Harold Eagle Bull officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Delaine Has No Horse.
Burial will be at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Manderson, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 12:00 PM on Monday, January 18, 2016 at St. Agnes Catholic Hall in Manderson, SD.
Aloysius was born on March 28, 1962 in Manderson, SD to Edward White Wolf and Dora Black Bear. Aloysius passed away on January 11, 2016 in Pine Ridge, SD.
Aloysius is survived by son Darrell Looks Twice; daughter Dorinda Black Bear; aunts Theresa Black Bear and Madeline Sondreal; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Aloysius was preceded in death by parents Eddie White Wolf and Dora Black Bear; grandfather Thomas Black Bear; grandmother Fannie Spotted Owl-Black Bear; and aunts Agnes Pawnee Leggins and Esther Sitting Bear.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Aloysius James Black Bear.
