01/22/2016 - Wesley B. Bisby

Graveside services for Wesley B. Bisby, age 83, will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery at Alliance with Pastor Randy Gulbranson officiating. 
 
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home in Alliance.
 
A memorial has been established, and donations may be given to the Hay Springs Volunteer Fire Department in Hay Springs, NE.

Wesley passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. He was the son of Elmer and Ruth (Scott) Bisby and was born on August 25, 1932 in Wheatland, PA. 
 
Wesley served in the U.S. Air Force from December 19, 1951 to September 29, 1955 during the Korean War, as an Airman First Class.
 
On July 14, 1985 he was united in marriage to Virginia J. Essman. Wes and June had 8 children: Pam, Vivian, Wes II, William, John, Becky, Robert, and Michelle, as well as Elizabeth and Pati. Wes and June moved all over the United States due to his job as an electrician.
 
He is survived by wife Virginia; children Elizabeth (Bill) Reinitz of Orland, CA, Pati Barragan of Klamath Falls, OR, Pam (Joe) Lliteras of Chadron, NE Vivian (John) Raeside of Rockland, CA, Wesley Bisby II of Sunland, CA, William Bisby of Hay Springs, NE, John (Ann) Bisby of Manchester, MD, Rebecca Hagerman of Hay Springs, NE, Robert (Cindy) Bisby of Blacksburg, SC, and Michelle Grant of Big Spring, TX; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings Ruth (David) Ochoa of Henderson, NV, Marie Walker of Bend, OR, Timothy (Laurie) Bisby of Bend, OR, Paul (Bobette) Bisby of Quartz Hill, CA, and Daniel Bisby and James Bisby of Lancaster, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Elmer and Christopher Bisby, and sisters Geraldine Covell and Patricia Crosswait.
 
Bates-Gould Funeral Home of Alliance, NE is in charge of arrangements for Wesley B. Bisby.
