Memorial services for Shirley Harding will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron, NE with Dr. Russ Seger officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Chadron.
A memorial has been established for the Circle of Light. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.

Shirley was born in Paige, ND on July 8, 1931 to Mary and Arthur Stringer. She grew up on the family farm near Tower City, ND. She attended school in Tower City and graduated from Tower City High School in 1949. She met and married Fernan Martin in 1951. From this union, three children were born: Mike, Audrey, and Rebecca. During this time, Shirley worked in Valley City, ND in retail while raising her three children. In 1967, the union dissolved. In 1968, Shirley married Dennis Harding and moved to Nebraska, eventually settling in Chadron. From this union, two children were born: Shawn and Nic. She worked and raised her family in Chadron until her death.
Shirley loved to shop and always dressed to the hilt. She also enjoyed dancing and time with her family.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, two brothers, one sister, and son Mike.
Shirley is survived by significant other Jay Bradt; son Shawn Harding; daughters Audrey (Tom) Hoerler, Rebecca Martin, and Nichole (Tye) Pourier; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
