Funeral services for Milton Everett Arner, age 90, of Whitney, NE will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron with Dr. Russ Seger officiating.
Burial will be at the Crawford City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron.

Milton passed away on January 27, 2016 at the Ponderosa Villa in Crawford. He was born on May 11, 1925 at the Arner homestead north of Crawford, NE to Lloyd and Bessie Pearl Arner. He was the second to the youngest child of seven.
Milton and Wilma (Baker) Arner were married December 30, 1947 by the Justice of the Peace. To this union, there were three children born: Darlene, Carma, and Steve.
In 1951, they purchased a farm two and a half miles east of Whitney. This was the place they called home for 64 years.
Milton was a farmer all of his life, raising hogs, cattle, wheat, corn, and alfalfa. He was a member of the USDA Farm Service Agency and predecessors for more than 35 years. He was on the Whitney Irrigation Board for 20 years and on the Whitney School Board. Milton was a member of the Crawford Eagles Club.
Survivors include daughter Darlene Cottier and husband Terry of Leander, TX; son Steve and wife Diana of Whitney, NE; grandchildren Heather Cottier of Dallas, TX, Scott Cottier and wife Angie of Austin, TX, Chadd Arner of Chadron, NE, and Nikki Daringer and husband John of Chadron, NE; great-grandchildren Cash Daringer of Chadron, NE and Katherine Cottier of Austin, TX; special friend Sheila Green of Crawford, NE; and sisters-in-law Leona Brown of Hot Springs, SD and Betty Arner of Arizona.
Milton was preceded in death by his parents, wife Wilma, daughter Carma and husband Bob, and siblings Cora, Elwin, Don, Roland, Cal, and Vi.
