Funeral services for Rossitter Zaner Red Feather Jr., age 57, will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Messiah Episcopal Church in Wounded Knee, SD with Butch Abold officiating.
Burial will be at the Wounded Knee Cemetery in Wounded Knee, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the Messiah Episcopal Church in Wounded Knee, SD.
Rossitter was born on February 28, 1958 in Mouse Creek, Wounded Knee, SD to Rossitter Red Feather Sr. and Rachael White Dress. Rossitter passed away on February 6, 2016 at the Averra McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Rossitter is survived by wife Phyllis Red Feather; stepchildren Nathan Elk Jr. and “Sissy Girl” Elk, both of Wounded Knee, SD; brothers John White Dress of Kyle, SD, Edward White Dress of Wounded Knee, SD and Tony Bush of Porcupine, SD; sisters Georgette Red Shirt of Kyle, SD and Helen Red Feather, Amelia White Dress, Debra White Dress and Jolene Ten Fingers, all of Wounded Knee, SD; hunka sister Bernadine Rowland of Wounded Knee, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Rossitter was preceded in death by parents Rossitter Red Feather Sr. and Rachael White Dress; stepfather Edward White Dress; sister Geraldine White Dress; and brother Jefferson Red Feather.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Rossitter Zaner Red Feather Jr.
