Funeral services for Charlie Boy Quiver, age 82, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Wanblee CAP Office in Wanblee, SD with Deacon Gerald Bush officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Russell Eagle Bear.
Burial will be at the Quick Bear Family Cemetery in Corn Creek, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Wanblee CAP Office in Wanblee, SD.
Charlie Boy was a veteran in the U.S. Air Force.
Charlie Boy was born on December 4, 1933 in Wanblee, SD to James and Lucinda (Richards) Quiver. He passed away on March 2, 2016 at his home in Pine Ridge, SD.
He is survived by special friend Delilah White Dress of Pine Ridge, SD; daughters Francine Quiver of Rapid City, SD and Abbie Quiver and Jerilyn Baltes of Pine Ridge, SD; sisters Mary Moran, Eunice Rogers, Lena Chips, and Stella Quiver; 12 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents James and Lucinda Quiver; wife Elaine Quiver; son Charles Quiver Jr.; daughter Madonna Quiver; grandchildren Jeno Chief, Jeremy Quiver, Ferris Brings Plenty, Dayton Bald Eagle, Anna Mae Baltes, and Neveah Quiver.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Charlie Boy Quiver.
