Funeral services for 71-year old Marvin Jacob Mesteth of Manderson, SD, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 14 at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson with Father Chris Johnson, S.J. and The Rev. Harold Eagle Bull officiating and traditional Lakota services from Ms. Darla Black

Burial wll be Monday at 2:30 at the Lakota Freedom Veteran's Cemetery in Kyle, SD

Two night wake services will start Saturday March 12 at 1:00 PM at the Wounded Knee District School.

Marvin Jacob Mesteth was born on October 24, 1944 in Pine Ridge, SD to Jacob Mesteth and Rose Jennifer Little Dog.  Marvin passed away on March 5, 2016 at his home in Manderson, SD.

Marvin is survived by his children, Madeline Mesteth of Kyle, SD; Nathan Mesteth of Pine Ridge, SD; Melvin “Hoke” Mesteth and Elaine Mesteth both of Manderson, SD and 6 grandchildren.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Rosa (Little Dog) Mesteth; brothers, Matt Mesteth, Sr. and Paul Mesteth; sisters, Maggie Mesteth and Theresa Mesteth; and children, Manuel Mesteth and Delores Mesteth.
